IP Academy and Singapore Academy of Law to Collaborate on IP Professional Development Programmes

On 3 November 2017, IP Academy and the Singapore Academy of Law entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on professional development programmes for the legal industry, with a focus on intellectual property.

The MOU was signed by Ms Serene Wee, Chief Executive of Singapore Academy of Law, and Mr Daren Tang, Chairman of IP Academy.

The partnership will see both parties explore opportunities to work together to organise roundtables and seminars on IP topics, transfer knowledge through IP articles and videos, cooperate on online-based IP continuing education programmes, as well as other initiatives.

This MOU is part of IP Academy’s ongoing efforts to grow a vibrant network of skilled IP professionals and users through quality education. It is also a part of the Singapore Academy of Law's Legal Industry Framework for Training and Education (LIFTED) initiative to build the capability of the legal profession through innovative learning.

In past years, IP Academy has also inked MOUs to collaborate on capacity building in Singapore with the Franchising and Licensing Association, Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore Training & Development Association, and the Singapore University of Social Sciences.
